18-year-old woman killed in single-vehicle crash in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An 18-year-old woman was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash in northeast Columbus.

It happened around 3 a.m. at the intersection of Worthington Galena Road and Park Road.

According to police, Megan Seebach was driving eastbound on Park Road when she failed to negotiate a turn and struck a utility pole at the corner of Park Road and Worthington Galena Road. No passengers were in the vehicle.

Seebach was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

To date in Columbus, CPD says there have been 42 fatal traffic crashes resulting in 47 deaths.

Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
