17-year-old boy injured after shooting in west Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting on Wednesday evening in west Columbus.

It happened on South Burgess Avenue, according to dispatchers, and a call about the shooting was received at around 9:50 p.m.

Columbus police arrived and found a 17-year-old boy lying on a porch with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in "serious condition." Authorities on the scene told 10TV the victim is in non-life-threatening condition.

No information on a suspect was immediately available.
