16-year-old boy charged with reckless homicide in deadly east Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A 16-year-old boy is charged with reckless homicide in the shooting death of a man in east Columbus earlier this month.

Columbus police said the shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. on May 4 on South Hampton Road near James Road.

The man was taken to Grant Medical Center where doctors later pronounced him dead.

He was identified by police as 20-year-old Kaleb Banks.

Police said Columbus SWAT arrested Donovan Foster on May 25.
