10-year-old injured after accidental shooting in Scioto County

SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio - A 10-year-old is in critical but stable condition after an accidental shooting according to the Scioto County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said deputies responded to a home on Warren Hill Road in Minford, Ohio just before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The sheriff's office told 10TV the 10-year-old was accidentally shot by someone else but declined to release the identity of that person.

The 10-year-old was shot once and taken to Cabell County Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, according to the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office has not said if any charges have been filed.
