1 person killed in three-vehicle crash in Delaware County


DELAWARE, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that happened at 2:51 pm on State Route 37 near Township Road 175 in Delaware County.

Troopers say an Audi TT Quattro was traveling westbound on State Route 37. The vehicle driven by 45-year old Russell Snyder traveled left of center striking a Hyundai Sonata, then a Chrysler Town & Country van both traveling in the westbound lanes on State Route 37.

Synder and his passenger were taken by first responders to area hospitals and he died at the hospital from his injuries, according to OSHP.

Authorities say the occupants in the other vehicles were also transported with minor injuries, according to OSHP.

Investigators say all parties involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and alcohol is not a factor in this crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
