1 dead after single-vehicle crash in Marion County

MARION, Ohio-- Troopers from the Marion Post with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash.

The crash happened on Saturday at 9:15 p.m. on County Road 106, according to OSHP.

Authorities say the driver, Timothy W. Cobb, was driving eastbound on CR-106 and drove off the north side of the roadway. He then struck a field access drive, a ditch and rolled over several times.

Troopers say Cobb was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Cobb was taken to Marion General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation.
