Re-Enactment Of Manager's Slaying Released

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Authorities on Wednesday released a video re-enactment that they hope will lead to tips in the shooting death of a cash advance store manager.

Justin Miller, of Delaware, Ohio, was fatally shot on Nov. 3 outside the Heartland Cash Advance on Cleveland Avenue, 10TV's Tanisha Mallett reported.

The re-enactment was produced with assistance from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and cenral Ohio Crime Stoppers. Authorities said the short film was based completely on witness statements given to detectives.

Miller, 29, was a district manager who had just closed the store and was on his way to pick up his daughter, Riley. After Miller (pictured, right) reached the parking lot, a gunman dressed in black and wearing a ski mask or hood opened fire.

Justin Miller's widow, Tiffany, said she knew something was wrong when her husband failed to show up after work.

"When the detective showed up and told me what happened, I was just in shock," Tiffany Miller said.

Tiffany Miller said Riley is too young to understand what happened to her father, but she said her daughter still asks where her father is.

"She asked just about every day where daddy is," Tiffany Miller said. "Every time the phone rings she asks if it's daddy, and every time the garage door opens she thinks it's him coming home."

While Crime Stoppers and Heartland Cash Advance each offer a $2,000 reward for information in Miller's death, Miller's family said they are supportive of the re-enactment.

"Anybody who has heard anything or remembers anything, please, we just need to know," Justin Miller's mother, Michelle Gordon, said. "I just need to know what happened to my boy.

"It's senseless and I can't believe that's how his life was meant to end."
