County Commissioner Fined For Shooting Wife

MARION, Ohio - A Marion County Commissioner who shot his wife last month pleaded no contest on Tuesday to firing a gun inside city limits.

Josh Daniels (pictured, right) told police a noise woke him up and he thought someone was breaking into his home, 10TV News reported.

Daniels grabbed a shotgun and shot the intruder who was actually his wife.

Danielle Daniels suffered buckshot wounds to her right arm and side.

After pleading guilty, Josh Daniels was required to pay a $150 fine and court costs. He also must turn the shotgun over to police, 10TV News reported.
