Another Winter Storm Arrives

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. Wednesday for the following counties in the 10TV viewing area:

Delaware
Fairfield
Fayette
Franklin
Licking
Madison
Pickaway
Union

Champaign, Clark, Greene, Hardin, Hocking, Logan, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties are under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning through 7 p.m. Wednesday for the following counties in the 10TV viewing area:

Coshocton
Crawford
Guernsey
Hancock
Knox
Marion
Morrow
Muskingum
Richland
Wyandot


Athens, Jackson, Morgan, Perry, Vinton and Washington counties are under a winter storm warning until 7 a.m. Thursday.

A winter storm warning is issued when severe winter weather is expected. Heavy snow and/or ice will cause hazardous driving conditions. If you will be traveling in the warning area you should choose an alternate route if possible, or you should use extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.

We could see blowing and drifting snow as a winter storm pushes through the region.

Live Doppler 10 meteorologist Mike Davis said Tuesday's snow could be heavy at times.  Look for daytime highs to reach 31 degrees.

Tonight, expect more snow showers.  It will be windy, with blowing and drifting becoming an issue.

Temperatures will drop to 19 degrees.

Davis said snow will linger through the early part of Wednesday, with more blowing and drifting.    Highs will reach 25 degrees.

Snow should begin to taper off by midday Wednesday.  In central Ohio, snowfall amounts could reach 4-8 inches.

On Thursday, look for mostly cloudy skies and temperatures approaching 27 degrees.
