Jackets, Nash Agree On Contract Extension

Joe Resnick, Nash's agent, confirmed the deal to 10TV's Dan Fronczak from Toronto.
Nash, who is entering the final year of his current contract, will make $7 million in 2009-10.

According to Resnick, Nash will earn $7.5 million in 2010-11. His yearly salary will increase each year until he makes $8.2 million in 2017-18.
Todd Sharrock, vice president of Blue Jackets media relations, said a news conference will be held next week.
Nash led the Jackets this past season in goals (40), points (79) and assists (39).
