Hartline Leaving For NFL

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State wide receiver Brian Hartline announced Wednesday that he will enter his name into the 2009 NFL draft.

Hartline, from Canton, Ohio, issued a statement through the university and thanked Ohio State for its support.

"I would especially like to thank the media and the fans of Ohio for being great to me and my family throughout my career," Hartline said.

Hartline, who recorded 90 catches for 1,449 yards during his Ohio State career, is scheduled to graduate in June with a bachelor's degree in communications.

Coleman, Russell Staying

Earlier in the day, Ohio State defensive backs Kurt Coleman and Anderson Russell announced that they had decided to come back next year for their senior seasons.

"I feel like I can come back and help this team out tremendously," Coleman said. "We have a lot of great leaders coming back; a lot of fresh talent."

Cordle, Ballard Will Return To Buckeye Offense

On the offensive side of the football, offensive lineman Jim Cordle and tight end Jake Ballard also announced that they would return to Ohio State next year, 10TV's Dom Tiberi reported.

"Every year our goal is to win the Big Ten and national title and nothing is different (next) year," Cordle said. "That is where we want to be."

Washington Still Undecided

Defensive back Donald Washington told 10TV that he was having a hard time making a decision regarding the NFL.

Washington said he could announce a decision on Wednesday night, Tiberi reported.
