After Reported Crash, No Plane Found Near Conneaut

CONNEAUT, Ohio — The U.S. Coast Guard Monday afternoon responded to a reported plane crash near Conneaut, on the Ohio-Pennsylvania boarder.

The Ashtabula County Coast Guard investigated the reported crash, but as of 7 p.m. Monday, was unable to locate any plane or debris, ONN affiliate WEWS Cleveland reported.  the scene of the crash, ONN affiliate WEWS Cleveland reported.

Dive teams were sent out, but were also unable to find any evidence of a crash, ONN's Cristin Severance reported.

The search began after a person contact the Conneaut Police Department and said a plane had gone into the Conneaut Harbor, WEWS reported.
