Deal: 3-Month Gym Membership To Cuyahoga Adults

Saturday,  December 19, 2009 3:41 PM

CLEVELAND — Residents of Ohio's biggest county are being offered the chance to work out for free for the first three months of the new year.

A partnership of several health groups is offering free memberships to any adult in Cuyahoga County at the YMCA or Curves health clubs.

The Cleveland Clinic is spearheading the program and says response was strong after the program's announcement Friday with more than 700 people signing up.

The only catch is participants must complete a weekly check-in to stay in the program.

County residents who aren't already members of the YMCA or Curves can work out at one of the Y's nine locations or 20 Curves' outlets.

Participants will also get instructions on starting a workout routine and tips on healthy eating.
