The 42-year-old died last week after a courageous and public battle against breast cancer for more than a decade. The memorial was a celebration of her life.

Chris Spielman said it was just the way she wanted it, just the way she planned. His wife Stefanie Spielman's life celebrated her 42 years of living Tuesday at Trinity Methodist Church. It included her friends, her family and songs she and her Chris picked for this day performed by the church's band.

"She looked at it as God allowed her cancer for a reason and looking here she did not die in vain," said Chris Spielman.

Stefanie's battle with cancer began in 1998. A public fight with a disease that led her and Chris to raise more than $6 million to help find a cure. Her strength and bravery was just as inspirational as her former NFL husband, her high school sweetheart from Massillon.

"I am so blessed that the one soul mate that God made for me. I spent 25 years with her," said Chris Spielman with a smile.

Together they share four beautiful kids. Stefanie's hopes and dreams for them and those battling her battle will live on, she will too. Stefanie taped a message talking that she prepared for the celebration of life that was played before those gathered at the church.

"I am somewhere unbelievably wonderful right now and I believe that. I believe that's where I'm going and I want you to with all your heart as well. I'm ok, I'm ok and you are going to be ok too, you really are," said Stefanie Spielman.
