Anthony Gutierrez, who served under Dann as general services director, pleaded guilty in August to six charges related to misconduct in office.
Several of the charges stemmed from actions 10 Investigates first exposed, including Gutierrez living in Dann's condo that was paid for with campaign money, 10TV's Paul Aker reported.
As part of his plea deal, Gutierrez agreed to cooperate with any further investigation of Dann. That could include testifying if prosecutors decide to pursue criminal charges, Aker reported.
Gutierrez was fired in May 2008 after two Attorney General Office employees came forward with claims of sexual harassment. After his firing, the Ohio Elections Commission forwarded a complaint filed by the state Inspector General to the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office, 10TV News reported.
According to the complaint, Gutierrez improperly received $5,000 from Dann's campaign and transition fund.
It was also alleged that Gutierrez used state computers to conduct business for his own construction company, 10TV News reported.
