Delbert Hall, 31, disappeared after he flew into Pittsburgh International Airport after visiting his father in Georgia.
WTOV reported that police said Hall was at the First National Bank on Federal Street downtown when a teller recognized him and called authorities. He was tracked down a short time later at the 7-Eleven along Liberty Avenue.
According to Sharon Kidder, Hall's mother, Hall left his East Liverpool home last week and headed to Georgia to see his father.
Kidder said Hall's father sent him back on an early flight home on July 4 without telling her.
"He was (at the airport) all night, and I didn't even know he was in," said Kidder.
Allegheny County police said Hall traveled from Ohio to Georgia to Florida to Washington, D.C., to Pittsburgh.
Kidder said he flew United Airlines out of Jacksonville, Fla., on July 4 and changed planes in Washington, D.C.
According to Kidder, Hall spent all day and night at Pittsburgh International Airport after his plane landed. She said he tried to book a flight back to Jacksonville, Fla., but he didn't have enough money.
Kidder said he then asked some people for a ride to East Liverpool. Police told Hall he couldn't ask for a ride and had to leave, said Kidder.
"He can barely spell. He doesn't know his address or phone number," said Kidder. "I'm really happy. You don't know how relieved I am to know that he's OK and safe."
She said words can't explain how thankful she is for the bank workers' actions.
"When I get home I'm going to thank them. God bless them and I love them," Kidder said.
