Officials in Springfield say two of the new cases are associated with a middle school where there was one other confirmed case.
Clark County Combined Health District spokeswoman Anita Bales said Thursday that the cases include those of a student and a staff member at Northridge Middle School. Both are recovering at home.
Parents of children at the school are worried.
"Well, originally I wasn't too worried about it, but now that there is two more confirmed cases I'm a little bit more nervous," said Joy Espinosa.
Joy is not alone. Hundreds of kids were kept home this week, even though the school remains open.
