Kelsey Young's family also sued the doctor who initially treated the 20-year-old woman, 10TV News reported.
According to the lawsuit, doctors at the Dublin Methodist Hospital emergency department failed to provide Young with the proper treatment when she went to the hospital in August, complaining of flu-like symptoms, 10TV News reported.
About 10 days later, Young was back in another hospital where doctors were able to save her baby girl, but Young died.

OhioHealth would not comment on any pending lawsuit, but in a release stated, "Our hearts go out to Kelsey, her family and her daughter, Ava Renee. We hope for the very best for Ava Renee and her family in the future."
Young was the second pregnant woman in Ohio to die from the disease.
This is not the first time H1N1 has led to legal action, 10TV News reported.
The family of a New York City teacher who died from the H1N1 virus in May is reportedly pursing legal action against the city and several people, including a group of medical workers in New York, filed suits to stop mandatory vaccinations.
