COLUMBUS, Ohio — The worst weather conditions often bring out the best in people, and on Wednesday 10TV anchors, reporters and photographers took the advice of a former colleague and "paid it forward."

10TV's Angela An, and photographer Rich Yedlicka visited the Westminster Thurber Retirement Community to clean off cars.

From clearing cars, to clearing streets, 10TV's Jerry Revish spent the morning clearing paths to his neighbor's mailboxes.

10TV's Andy Hirsch joined a group of strangers, putting some muscle into a car stuck on a street in North Columbus and 10TV's Jeff Hogan helped warm the hearts at the McConnell Heart Hospital by manning the free cookie cart.

And 10TV's Kurt Ludlow shared his beloved snow blower, clearing the driveway of his neighbor.

After clearing cars, An left behind a calling card, inspired by late 10TV anchor Heather Pick. It reminds people to do a kind act for somebody just because.

The card quotes Pick, "Don't wait.  Give someone an unexpected gift just because you appreciate them."
