Ruling On Convicted Killer's Execution Expected Monday

Broom's first execution attempt was halted on Sept. 15 after executioners failed to find a usable vein after two hours of trying.
Broom's attorneys are suing to prevent a second execution attempt, arguing it would be cruel and unusual punishment.
The state has since changed its execution procedures from a three-drug intravenous lethal injection to a one-drug injection.
