Emergency crews responded to a call just after 8 a.m. along Washington Street, to a report of a car in a ravine.
An SUV left the road near Canal Winchester High School and ended up about 40 feet down a ravine, McEntyre reported.

Todd Sherrick, 20, of Lancaster was killed in the crash.
Investigators thought he may have been the driver until crews pulled the Jeep up onto the roadway and discovered Sherrick in the passenger seat, and the driver's side door open, McEntyre reported.
Sheriff's deputies said it was unclear what time the crash happened.
A neighbor said her husband may have heard the wreck this morning as he was leaving for work.
"He left about 2:30 (a.m.), he opened up the garage door and heard a big bang, and before in the spring, the garage door had fallen down, and that's what he thought happened again. He went out and looked and didn't see it," said Margaret Phillips. "He said it was loud, so he came back in the house to see if something fell."
"It's just the second time something really bad has happened across the road. About two years ago there was another. It wasn't a fatality but a person got hurt really bad. And it just gives me the creeps. It's just terrible.
About that same time, neighbor Mickey Martin said there was a strange incident in his back yard.
"Next thing I know he was on my neighbors' back patio. I yelled for him, he came up to me and he was in shock - he was white as a ghost," said neighbor Mickey Martin. "I knew there was drinking involved. He smelled like alcohol. And I just thought it was a young kid out - I didn't know if there was a party around, or he just didn't know where he was at or what."
Martin said the man could not even tell the responding officer his name.
"He didn't look hurt there wasn't a scratch on him," Martin said. "He looked dazed. After seeing what happened here today, looking back now, he was dazed."
"Had I known last night about this I don't know if anything if we could have done something for
the young man that lost his life," Martin said. "But for him not to say anything is kind of bizarre
as well. 'Cause he didn't say anything or mention anything to me about that kind of accident."
The Fairfield County Sherriff's office arrested the man who was banging on doors in the
area.
They have not released his name, but said he is a 17-year-old from Lancaster, McEntyre reported.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and underage drinking and is considered a person of interest in the wreck.
