Anioure Lawrence said she needed plastic surgery after being shot three times.
Three weeks ago, Lawrence saw a stranger arguing with another woman near her car. Lawrence said that she asked both of them to leave when the other woman started arguing with her.
A few minutes later, the man pulled out a gun.

"I (saw) the gun and I tried to get down, but it was too late," Lawrence said. "(He) just started shooting me with an AK-47."
Witnesses told police that Branon Peterson was the gunman who kept firing at the mother of 6-and 2-year-old boys.
"He just picked up the gun and shot right at me and I dropped," Lawrence said. "He got on the ground and started shooting under the car."
Lawrence said that she has not returned to her home since the shooting and might never come back, given Peterson's close ties to the neighborhood and his extensive criminal history.
CrimeTracker10 uncovered convictions in the past several years that include weapons violations, assault, drugs and receiving stolen property.
Peterson's run from the law ended when he surrendered to police after a Monday morning standoff with police.
"I feel so happy," Lawrence said. "I slept so (well) last night after I heard that on the news. I told (my boys) they got the boy that shot Mommy and we can live better now. We don't have to worry about (anything)."
Lawrence said that she did not know Peterson but police showed her several potential suspects based on leads. She was able to pick him out of a police lineup.
Peterson faces a preliminary hearing next week, An reported.
