Michael Pristera was taken to the hospital by ambulance from Jefferson Hall.

According to reports, Pristera was unconscious, bleeding from several places on his body, and had marks on him where people had slapped him, Connelly reported.

Police also interviewed Thomas Rotar, another Delta Tau Delta pledge, who said he and eight others were blindfolded, forced to drink large amounts of alcohol, and repeatedly slapped around.

A student who answered the door at the fraternity house said they had no comment, Connelly reported.

But other students on campus said these allegations are rare.

"Before that, no, I had not heard of any hazing on campus," said Katey Brooks. "I don't think you should be willing to hurt yourself to be part of something. If it comes down to that you should really consider who your friends are going to be."

The fraternity has been cited, but police said individuals involved could face assault charges.
