Man Hurt In Deadly House Fire Improving

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man who was injured earlier this month in a Ross County house fire that left two people dead is improving.

Nicholas Urita has been upgraded from critical to serious condition at The Ohio State University Medical Center, hospital officials said Wednesday.

On Nov. 2, a home in Chillicothe caught fire, killing James Beverly, 37, and Urita's 2-month-old son, Caleb.

Urita and his other son, Nicholas Jr., survived but were badly burned.

Nicholas Jr. is still hospitalized at Nationwide Children's Hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
