Holiday Decorations Going Up Early

With just 44 days until Christmas, businesses are hoping the decorations get consumers in the mood to spend.
But when it comes to getting into the spirit a little earlier, businesses are not the only ones with holiday cheer.
Jim Hiser said after recovering from an illness he had newfound energy to decorate his porch earlier than usual.
"Christmas is something special and for the kids really, the grandkids. I got a granddaughter who stays with us most of the time and that's why," Hiser said.
While Paul Miller said he has more time on his hands.
"Usually I put them up around Thanksgiving but I just decided to do it early b/c I am retired this year so," Miller said.
And others said the warm weather has given them an early start.
"I always wait until it's 20 degrees and then it's too cold and I hate it, so I said I'm just going to do it," said Leanna Anderson. "I think it just lifts everybody up and just brings everyone together."
