Lockdowns Lifted At East Side Schools

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two east side schools were placed under lockdown Tuesday as police investigated a report of a person with a gun in the surrounding neighborhood.

Shady Lane Elementary School and Sherwood Middle School, both located on Shady Lane Road, went under lockdown shortly before 1 p.m., according to administrators with Columbus City Schools.

Both lockdowns were lifted a short time later.

No injuries were reported.

No arrests were made.
