The incident began at about 2 a.m. at the Hickory Grove Townhomes, located on Graniteway Lane, 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.

Police went to the complex to pick up a man wanted on warrants, but the man refused to come out.  Officers feared the man may have been armed, so they took up positions around the apartment.

The man remained inside with three other people, including two children, while police tried to make contact with him.

Contact was eventually made, and the man came outside without incident at about 4 a.m., Ramos reported.

No one was injured.

The man's identity was not immediately released by police.

It was not clear if he would face additional charges.
