Droid Could Be The New Must-Have Phone

The commercials are everywhere - a somewhat subtle attack stating what Apple's iPhone can't do - the Droid can.
The latest phone from Motorola is a much-hyped smart phone powered by Google software, run on Verizon's network.
Verizon said the phone's touch screen is the largest on the market.
The device is slim, despite its flip down keyboard and there are already thousands of applications available and the phone isn't even out yet, Hirsch reported.
We took the Droid to Best Buy's Mobile guru Jason Robinson - to get his take. Robinson noted the screen's high resolution.
"Scrolling down the page, it renders beautifully. Everything is real clear, crisp," Robinson said. "The screen seems real responsive."
Robinson also took to the notification shade, where new -mails, texts, calls and other things are easy to access.
Overall -- Robinson didn't find anything he didn't like...and thinks the Droid will be a major competitor in the smart phone market.
"It's very easy to use...lot of cool features with it," Robinson said.
The Droid hits store shelves on Friday and most stores plan to open early for the phone's release.
