ALEXANDRIA, Ohio — A parent reported to police that she found a prescription pill after her child went trick-or-treating, 10TV's Brittany Westbrook reported.

According to police, the child's family does not live in Alexandria but was there to go trick-or-treating on Thursday night.

Police were working to determine the route the family took and where they might have received a Bull's Eye caramel.

The family claimed that the pill was pressed inside the cream-filled center.

"We've lived here in Alexandria for 21 years and we've never had a problem," said Howard Kern, a grandparent.  "You never know.  I have a hard time (knowing) that somebody in this town did that."

Police said that they planned to test the pill to determine what it was.
