DELAWARE, Ohio — The Delaware County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that it has positively identified the mother of a newborn baby who was found abandoned in Lewis Center in June.

The mother's name was not being released because she was not charged with a crime, according to the sheriff's office.

The boy, who was named Thomas Benjamin Lewis, was found along Owenfield Drive, near U.S. 23, on June 9.  He has been put up for adoption, 10TV News reported.
