Police said Kevin McMurray knew his wife, Rhonda McMurray, was having an extramarital affair, which was straining their marriage.

On Sunday, police said the marriage ended, when Rhonda McMurray's ex-boyfriend shot and killed her husband during an altercation at 283 Oak St.

It was around 9:30 p.m. when police said Taylor pulled out a gun during a fight with McMurray, firing several shots, and killing him.

Marion police tracked Taylor down in a trailer park outside the village of Caledonia, where he gave up without incident.

"She was able to escape unharmed and call 911," said Marion police Maj. Jay McDonald.

Family members said the couple had been married for more than 25 years, and was trying to work out their problems, Connelly reported

Rhonda McMurray, who witnessed the shooting, said she was not harmed.
