Bar Back Open After Shooting That Wounded 7

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A north side bar was back open Saturday night after an early morning shooting that left seven people wounded.

Gunfire erupted at about 1:30 a.m. at at Crabby Tom's, located at 1455 Schrock Rd., 10TV News reported.

According to police at the scene, more than 30 shots were fired near the bar's rear patio after a fight escalated.

A witness, who did not want to be identified, told 10TV News that he heard people arguing, followed by gunfire.

"Everybody was out there cool one minute, and  next an argument broke out," he said.  "A couple of seconds later, everybody was hitting the ground."

It was not clear how many people opened fire.  Police speculated that there could have been several gunmen.

No arrests have been made.

Some who live near the bar said they were not surprised at the violence, saying the establishment is often a spot for trouble.

"It is definitely a nuisance," said neighbor Peter Chandler.  "You get a lot of people in there on a Friday or Saturday night and you never know what is going to happen."
