Fill Your Grocery Cart With The Click Of A Mouse

The Westerville Meijer store has launched a Web site allowing shoppers to select their groceries, order online and schedule a pick up time.
Lynn Blovits estimates the online shopping service saves her two hours of time inside the store.
Instead of pushing a cart, Blovits makes her selections on a computer screen, gets a confirmation e-mail and then heads to Meijer to pick up her groceries.
"And then all you do is drive your car up, you call the phone number on the sign and they bring the groceries right out to your car. They swipe your credit card at the car and you drive away. They load the car," Blovits said.
Meijer's Westerville location is the only one in the state and only the fourth in the country that offers the service.
There is a $6.95 fee per order, or you can pay $24.95 per month for unlimited ordering and pick up.
Pharmacy items, including prescriptions, seasonal and home goods are not available for the service.
