Rifqa Bary will be placed in a foster home after a Florida judge receives her immigration papers and proof her schooling will continue before she will be allowed to return to Ohio, 10TV's Cara Connelly reported.
Bary has feared that her Muslim family, who lives in New Albany, would harm or kill her because she converted to Christianity but her family said that her claims were unfounded.
The girl has been attending a virtual school in Florida and was getting good grades, but an attorney for Bary's father said that the same schooling could be completed in Ohio.
Bary fled to Florida and was found living with Pastor Blake Lorenz and his family. She apparently met Lorenz over the Internet, 10TV News reported.
