The Capital student was robbed shortly after 10 p.m.
Investigators said that they believe the same men struck twice more near the Ohio State campus, 10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.
"It wasn't quite so terrifying as one would expect," said John Bell, a Capital University senior. "I was kind of detached."
Bell said that the robbers took his wallet and threatened to shoot him if he did not give them everything.
"He took my groceries," Bell said. "It was kind of funny. I kept my cell phone in the pocket and told them I didn't have anything else and they sped off."
One hour later, police said that same robbers held up two people at Hunter and King, near the Ohio State campus.
Twenty minutes later, at the corner of 15th Avenue and High Street, an Ohio State student told police that he was kidnapped at gunpoint, forced to withdraw money from an ATM and dropped off at a fast-food restaurant at Main and James, less than two miles from where the crime spree began.
All of the victims told police that the robbers were riding in a dark four-door sedan. One of the victims said that the license plate started with "E."
