Wednesday, September 30, 2009 6:48 AM
Prosecutors agreed to drop the charges against Phylip Chen if he can pass a polygraph test, 10TV News reported.
Chen is scheduled to take the test before his trial, which is now scheduled to begin at the end of October.
Chen and his wife were accused of collecting donations from friends and family members after telling them that Phylip was dying of cancer.
His wife pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of theft.
