Ralph Needs told 10TV News that he was sleeping when he was attacked in his Groveport home on Sunday night.
On Thursday, SWAT officers surrounded a house in the 1500 block of Weber Road on the north side where police found some of the items stolen from Needs' home, 10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.
"Everybody was compliant," said Jim Scanlon of Columbus SWAT. "They came out and got them secured and apparently the detectives are going to talk to each one of them."
Earlier on Thursday, a family member accidentally shot Needs in the hand while showing him how to protect himself with a gun, Kocot reported.
Needs was expected to be OK from the shooting and was treated for the gunshot wound at a hospital.
Police said that they were sorting through the evidence and interviewing everyone in the house before deciding whether to file charges.
