The report cards, scheduled to be released at 10 a.m., rank each district based on how they are performing in several areas.
Last year, Columbus City Schools was rated 'Continuous Improvement,' meaning the district made progress based on state indicators, performance, yearly progress and value added, 10TV's Patrick Bell reported.
Of the 125 schools in the district, about 50 were placed on 'Academic Watch' or 'Academic Emergency' for not meeting state standards in standardized tests and graduation rates.
Columbus City Schools only met six of 30 indicators used to measure assessment, which is about 20 percent, Bell reported.
The district's performance index score, which measures how much students are achieving, was about 82 points out of 120 possible points. The state found that the district did not meet the goals set by the Federal No Child Left Behind Act in the past year.
10TV News learned that a central Ohio district is surpassing all performance standards. New Albany-Plain Local Schools will receive the top ranking of 'Excellent with Distinction.'
It will be the eighth year that the district has earned the highest possible rating, Bell reported.
