Greyhounds rescued from a closed dog race track Guam arrived on the campus of Ohio State University on Sunday for viewing by prospective new owners, 10TV's John Fortney reported.
The rescue group Greyhound Adoption of Ohio helped bring the dogs to Ohio.
Linda Perko, who helps run the organization, told 10TV News these dogs are ready for a loving family.
"They get attached to people," Perko said. "They've never had love and affection, and when they get it, they really blossom. They just become wonderful pets."
Other greyhounds have made the trip from Guam to the group's adoption center in Chagrin Falls near Cleveland.
More information on adopting one of these dogs may be found on the group's Web site, www.greyhoundadoptionofoh.org.
