According to court records, an undercover officer met Vanise Dunn shortly before noon on Nov. 12 at her apartment on Valencia Park Boulevard, located on the city's west side.
Dunn, 31, allegedly offered to "engage in sexual activity" with the officer in exchange for $150, according to court records.
Dunn, who faces one charge of misdemeanor prostitution, has been released from custody after posting bond.
For eight years, Dunn has worked as a caseworker for Franklin County Children Services. She was assigned to the sexual abuse unit, Kocot reported.
Dunn has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of her arrest and an investigation conducted by Franklin County Children Services.
One of Dunn's neighbors, who asked not to be identified, said she was not surprised to hear of Dunn's arrest.
"There (were) just different cars here all the time," the neighbor said. "There (were) different guys going in and out of the house all the time. I noticed they were all from different counties."
No on answered a knock at Dunn's door on Monday afternoon.
Dunn, who has no prior criminal history, could be placed on probation if convicted, Kocot reported.
Dunn was scheduled to appear in court in December.
