Two Men Shot, Killed On East Side

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police were searching for the people responsible for the deaths of two men in separate shootings Thursday night on the city's east side.

Investigators said there was a fight on Wager Street at about 10:30 p.m. and someone pulled out a gun and began firing shots. A man in his 20s was struck, 10TV's Ramos reported.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The second shooting occurred at about 11 p.m. less than a mile away, at the corner of Champion Avenue and Cole Street, Ramos reported.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Police sent additional officers to the hospital after the family of one of the victims reportedly caused a disturbance. No arrests were made.

The shootings remained under investigation.
