Webb David Rieder, 32, was charged with one count of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a juvenile.
Detectives seized Rieder's two computers from his home on Burgyone Court on Monday. According to the search warrant, police downloaded a file that contained a move of "preteen boys engaged in sexual activity." Investigators also found "114 compact discs in a paper bag," 10TV's Kevin Landers reported.
Rieder is employed by the City of Columbus, and works as a teacher's aide at Valley Forge Elementary School.
Liam Westbrook, who lives in the same apartment complex as Rieder, said he was quiet and rarely had any visitors to his home.
"It's kind of a shock," Westbrook said. "He lives right next to us and even though he was quiet, he didn't give me any trouble."
In addition to teaching, Westbrook said Rieder was also a soccer referee, Landers reported.
Investigators said there is no evidence that Rieder molested any children at the school. There is also no evidence that he had pornographic images of local children, Landers reported.
Police said additional charges were pending the outcome of the investigation.
