The Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Columbus police gang unit executed a search warrant at the Northtowne Apartment complex, 10TV News reported.

A large stash of drugs and cash was found inside one apartment.

Sheriff's deputies watched the apartment for several weeks and said there has been a lot of drug activity.

"This is a residential area where there's a lot of nice people are living and they don't need this eyesore up here," said Franklin County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Steve Martin. "We discovered it and decided we would go ahead and disrupt their operation."

Deputies said they will sort through the evidence and decide if charges will be filed.
