Sean Beck pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and one count of possession of a firearm during a drug crime, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's office.

Investigators said Beck, 29, tried to work with a drug dealer to bring more than a kilogram of cocaine into Muskingum County.

Beck's scheme involved seizing the cocaine during a fake police raid, and then selling it for profit, prosecutors said.

Beck, along with fellow Zanesville police Officer Trevor Fusner and auxiliary Officer Chad Mills, were arrested by FBI agents on Oct. 1, 2007.

Mills and Fusner have since pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges and are awaiting sentencing.
