NEWARK, Ohio — A teenager could be sentenced up to five years in prison after pleading guilty on Friday to giving marijuana to a 2-year-old girl.

Angel Dailey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child endangerment and corrupting another with drugs, 10TV's Patrick Bell reported.

Video of the toddler smoking marijuana was discovered on a camcorder that was sold to a Columbus pawnshop. Police said the shop's owner turned the video over to detectives after finding it on the camera's hard drive, 10TV News reported.

The video, which was shown in court on Friday, showed the girl inhaling smoke and coughing.

At one point in the video, the toddler was asked if she wanted more.

"No?" a voice asked. "You're good?"

Dailey, 16, and an acquaintance, Melvin Blevins, were identified as the persons in the video, police said.

The child was in the care of the Blevins family the night of the recording, Bell reported.

In court on Friday, a judge asked Dailey why she made the child smoke pot.

"I wasn't thinking at all, sir," Dailey said.

Blevins, her alleged accomplice, also faces charges in the case. He was previously indicted for his alleged involvement in a drug ring, Bell reported.

The girl's mother said she is doing OK but worries about long-term effects.

"That just makes me madder that they won't admit, they have no good reason," the toddler's mother said. "It was just stupid, childish. They should have been acting their age."
