Ex-Teacher Sentenced In Online Sex Sting

Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Michael Holbrook gave Mark Boster the maximum sentence, 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.
Boster, 46, exchanged explicit e-mails with a deputy sheriff who posed as a 14-year-old boy in the June sting. The pair arranged a meeting place before Boster was arrested, Ramos reported.
He resigned as a teacher with Columbus City Schools after the incident.
"To watch the pains of our kids today and then turn around and be predatory in nature is not satisfactory," Holbrook said.
Even though Boster had no criminal record, he was called on suspicion before. In 2004, Boster was accused of touching an elementary school student and making inappropriate comments to adults.
The state allowed Boster to keep his teaching license but he had to complete counseling and sexual harassment training.
Holbrook allowed a window for Boster saying he could be placed on shock probation after 90 days in jail.
