Three Columbus State Community College students died in a weekend crash.

The crash, involving two vehicles, occurred early Saturday in Mercer County, near the Indiana state line, 10TV News reported.

Columbus State students Jordan Diller, Jordan Goettemoeller and Bradley Roeckner, all 19, died in the crash.  The other victim was identified as Jordan Moeller, 18.
All four were graduates of Marion Local High School in Maria Stein, Ohio

Investigators said the driver of the other car, Nicholas Schwieterman, 22, of Chickasaw, Ohio, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the car carrying the students.

He was later charged with four counts of vehicular homicide, 10TV's Tracy Townsend reported.

A passenger in Schwieterman's car, Kyle Schmitmeyer, 21, of near Celina, was charged with obstructing official business "for disrupting the investigation at the scene," according to the sheriff.

The sheriff told Dayton television station WHIO that alcohol was suspected in the crash.

Administrators at Columbus State told 10TV News on Monday that there would be a tribute to the three students during commencement on Friday, Townsend reported.

Columbus State Professor Judy Roobian-Mohr said Roeckner was enrolled in her economics class this quarter. She said that he was one of the so-called 'back row boys."

"Usually the back row boys are kind of shrumps," Roobian-Mohr said, "but he and his chums in the back row were just right on top of things."

"I just saw him soaking things up. He really seemed to have a notion that college was something pretty special and he was going to excel," Roobian-Mohr said.

In Marion Township, residents were still talking about the four young men who made headlines two years ago when their high school football team played for a state title.

"They’ve been friends forever," one resident said. "If one was doing something, they were all doing it together."
