The Rochester, N.Y., native graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology's film school.

Beikirch has experience in all parts of production, from pre-production to post-production of both audio and video.

In addition to seven years of freelance work for several production houses in Rochester, Beikirch spent two years as a photojournalist for Rochester area news stations WROC/WUHF.

"In that year I mastered the equipment; helped guide the stations through a digital transition in four days; and excelled at interviewing, editing and working under deadlines both alone and in conjunction with team reporters," Beikirch said.

He then moved to Columbus where he worked at WSYX/WTTE.  Beikirch said he instantly fell in love with the area and decided central Ohio would be the place to raise his children.

After a little over a year in Columbus, a position opened up for him to join the 10TV News HD team.
