David Schulte
Photographer
Schulte began working in television at an upstart FOX affiliate in Sioux Falls, S.D. He later moved to Minneapolis and started as a weekend news photographer at a cable news station. After eight years on the job and earning the title of chief photographer, Schulte joined 10TV in 2000.
Schulte said he enjoys the challenge of finding a story.
"Whether it's finding the right person to talk with to tell the story, or digging and finding what the real story is and not just what some would have you believe, I want to get the story right every time," he said.
Schulte said it is hard to choose a favorite story because he has covered events from presidential visits to troops returning from Iraq to children raising money for their baseball team.
He said the best part of his job is meeting new people and sharing their stories.
Schulte enjoys spending time outside, either working in the yard or out camping. He also helps take care of his three children, including twins, which keeps him busy.
