AFL-CIO goes after Koch brothers in ad campaign

By

WASHINGTON (AP) — The nation's largest labor federation is taking aim at the conservative Koch (kohk) brothers in ads designed to highlight the billionaires' political clout and to energize liberal voters.

The AFL-CIO's campaign started Thursday.

It features Joyce and Karen Koch — who aren't related to big-spending Charles and David Koch.

The women criticize the Koch brothers and their network of conservative groups, including Americans for Prosperity.

The 30-second ad calls the brothers "right-wing billionaires."

The union has more ads ready to go in the next few weeks.

A spokesman for Koch Industries had no immediate comment on the ads.
